At Sitara, our trained and compassionate counsellors understand that no two people experience emotions the same way. That’s why we don’t believe in a “one-size-fits-all” approach.

Our counsellors draw from a range of therapies—CBT, SFBT, Psychodynamic, Humanistic, Systemic, DBT, Mindfulness-based, Existential, and more—to create an approach that fits you. This is called an eclectic approach, and it allows us to meet you exactly where you are.

We strictly follow the principle of “do no harm” or non-maleficence, which is why our counselling is non-directional—we don’t tell you what to do; we help you find your own way. Every conversation is held in complete confidentiality, and we hold that trust sacred.

We’re here to help you make sense of your thoughts, emotions, and life situations—to walk beside you until you can confidently walk on your own.

That’s why we reimagined the old saying “wish upon a star” into something more empowering:
